The total tree area of the municipality of Vught is approximately 26,000 trees.

The work mainly consists of:

b. Performing tree safety check and tree maintenance inventory (3-year cy-clus)

c. Carry out annual inspection of trees

d. Conducting tree safety research (BVO)

e. Tree pruning

f. Digital registration of work performed

g. Performing additional work

The work is carried out for the municipality of Vught. In the area of the work, there is a merger, because it concerns tree safety checks and maintenance work. Both activities are closely linked. The vast majority of market parties can carry out both activities within their normal business operations, so that the merger does not limit the market. In addition, the size of the assignment is not such that it is too large to be carried out by regular SMEs. Smaller parties can register together with another party or act as a subcontractor. The contract is therefore not divided into lots. This would lead to sub-optimization, therefore to inefficiency, resulting in higher costs and a higher staffing on the part of the municipality for coordination and controls. None of this is in the interest of the municipality. In addition, a significant contribution from the contractor is expected in the realization of the tree management policy plan, in which both disciplines must be involved.

The agreement is entered into for a period of four calendar years (2023 to 2026).
