The agency for Urban Environment will enter into two lots with two tenderers: Lot 1: Operation and maintenance of parks, squares and urban areas in central Oslo. Lot 2: Operation and maintenance of inner city parks and recreational areas The aim of this procurement is to contribute to achieving the Agency for Urban Environment's social assignment of ensuring good quality of life for the city's residents by developing and managing parks and facilities. The procurement will cover the need for maintenance and operation of parks, squares, urban spaces and recreational areas in Oslo city centre and inner city. The areas mainly include parks, planting in squares and public spaces, harbour areas, urban furniture, recreational and nature areas, hiking trails, sports areas and swimming places, as well as green areas along municipal roads and car parks. The work to be carried out includes management of vegetation, cleaning, waste management, fountain operation, maintenance and operational safety at all facilities in the area covered by the contracts.

Lot 1: Operation and maintenance of parks, squares and urban spaces in Oslo city centre. The contract includes facilities in the Sentrum district, in addition to parts of the districts of Frogner, St. Hanshaugen and Gamle Oslo as well as some facilities in different parts of the city.

The area mainly includes parks, planting in squares and public spaces, harbour areas, urban furniture, open and natural areas, hiking trails, sports areas and swimming places, as well as green areas along municipal roads and car parks.

The work to be carried out includes management of vegetation, cleaning, waste management, fountain operation, maintenance and operational safety at all facilities in the area covered by the contract.

The inner city area includes facilities in the neighbourhoods of Frogner (not Frognerparken or Bygdøy), St. Hanshaugen, Sagene, Grünerløkka and Gamle Oslo.

The inner city area mainly comprises parks, footpaths, playgrounds, recreational areas and street gardens. But it also includes some natural areas and green areas along municipal roads (which contain elements other than lawns).

Important operational and maintenance elements in the facilities include maintenance of lawns, trees, shrubs, perennials and grass, waste management, winter operations and operation of natural ice rinks.
