On the basis of a contract, all the technical, administrative and logistical services required for the proper, safe and legally compliant operation of the medical technology equipment and systems of the Wittlich Law Enforcement Hospital (JVK Wittlich) are to be provided by an external service provider. This concerns the commissioning, the necessary briefings, the testing, maintenance and repair (repair) of medical devices including the service documentation and advice on necessary new and replacement purchases.

The medical equipment for outpatient and inpatient care for inmates corresponds to a primary care hospital with first aid. The medical device part to be looked after comprises approximately 500 devices that are located in the correctional hospital and on a ward in the correctional facility.
