Bergmannsheil und Kinderklinik Buer GmbH - Construction of an observation station / Extension of the central emergency room/ZNA - Structural design, work phases 1-6, § 51 HOAI

Bergmannsheil und Kinderklinik Buer GmbH, Schernerweg 4, 45894 Gelsenkirchen intends to build a single-storey extension on the grounds of the clinic between two parts of the building, which currently houses the Surgical Outpatient Clinic and the Central Emergency Department of the Bergmannsheil Hospital.

Furthermore, additional premises are to be created for the existing surgical outpatient clinic.

The new extension is intended to connect the two parts of the building organizationally so that an observation station with 6 beds (3x2 beds) and the emergency room of the children's clinic with 6 examination rooms (each with an adjoining room program) can be accommodated there. In order to connect the extension to the existing buildings, a common registration desk and a common base for the emergency departments Bergmannsheil and Children's Hospital are to be set up.

Furthermore, additional premises are to be created for the existing surgical outpatient clinic. Due to the extension and the connection of the current parts of the building, further structural adjustments and optimizations are necessary in the existing buildings. These include the areas of the Central Emergency Department Bergmannsheil, the Surgical Outpatient Center, the area of the entrance hall and the creation of a new bed transport route with connection to the existing load-through elevators.

The structural design required to carry out these tasks, work phases 1-6, § 51 HOAI (basic determination, preliminary planning, design planning, approval planning, execution planning, preparation of the award) is the subject of this award procedure.

The planning services are commissioned in accordance with HOAI.

The award of the construction work is tendered in individual tenders according to the applicable legal principles.

The construction project is not based on any funding measure.

Special conditions:

Impairment of hospital operations when carrying out the construction project is to be avoided as far as possible.

Planning services begin immediately after the order has been placed. The start of construction must take place as soon as possible in accordance with the planning progress. The client currently expects construction to begin in the 2nd quarter of 2023.

The construction period is assumed to be about 18 months.

The local presence in Gelsenkirchen must be ensured at close intervals in accordance with planning requirements.

Personnel continuity with regard to the on-site presence must be ensured as far as possible. Project and plan discussions take place in Gelsenkirchen.

A visit to the building plot or the local conditions for the preparation of the concept/initial offer can optionally be carried out within the offer period (2nd stage of the procedure). Appointments for the property inspection are to be arranged on request via the communication function of the procurement platform.

Note:

In addition to awarding the structural design, the architectural planning and the MEP planning will be awarded in parallel tenders.

In this respect, the services of LPH 1 and 2, § 34 HOAI are already available for architectural planning and are to be taken as a basis for further architectural planning. The documents of the architectural planning, LPH 1 and 2, § 34 HOAI are attached to the procurement documents for the participants of this TWP award.
