Introduction

AB Transitio (the Client) invites applicants (Supplier) to apply to participate in procurement regarding Operation and Management of Vehicle Management Systems.

AB Transitio is owned by twenty regions (all except Gotland) and acquires, finances and manages rail vehicles for its owners. The aim is primarily to optimize the owners' vehicle costs and ensure high quality and expertise in the areas of procurement, management and maintenance. AB Transitio is non-profit and is subject to LUF and the principle of public access to official records.

Background

AB Transitio has, on behalf of their owners, procured a new IT system for the operation and management of trains, trams and small ferries. This new system is called Future Vehicle Management System (FFS). The system will contain information about several thousand vehicles with associated components and will have up to two hundred contemporary users spread throughout Sweden.

The new system will be supplied by Trimble Rail. The delivery includes delivery of hardware and software as well as configuration, implementation and deployment of the new system at Trimble's office in Danderyd. Trimble Rail shall also provide second-line support to the system for a period of at least ten years.

Extent

The tender includes:

Transport of the system from Trimble's office in Danderyd to the selected location

Installation, commissioning and acceptance testing of the system in the new operating site (together with Trimble and Transitio)

Operation and management of the system for ten years

First-line support for system users

Configuration and implementation of necessary physical and electronic protection measures around the system

During the procurement or the period of validity of the agreement, AB Transitio may require that protective security agreements are signed and that security clearance must be carried out with relevant parts of the supplier's management and by the personnel concerned.
