The new building of the Lärchenplatz University of Applied Sciences is set up as a simple and clear volume parallel to the Lärchenplatz sports field.

The building is around 90 m long, 30 m wide and comprises 3 above-ground and one underground storey.

The total floor area is approximately 8,000 m 2 , The ground floor is designed as a glazed basement, the two upper floors projecting above it are clad with a wooden facade. The building is perforated with 2 courtyards. One of the courtyards is landscaped, the second courtyard connects the two access levels with a spacious outside staircase.

The building is largely built in solid construction. The two-storey rooms on the front sides are hung from the solid construction using wooden construction using rigid roof panels.

The creation costs amount to approx. CHF 42.2 million.
