The contract for ballast cleaning deals with removal of old ballast, sorting and relaying of the fractions that can be reused. The fractions that cannot be reused will be transported to a waste disposal site, where another Contractor will transport away and further treat the matter. After ballast cleaning is performed, all works with track adjustment, trimming the ballast, adjustment of contact line systems and neutralisation of rails shall all be included. The contract shall also cover the necessary works with measuring-in tracks before and after, and optimisation of track geometry.
