The district of Fulda is putting out a central firewall solution in the form of a high availability cluster, which should consist of 2 physical machines, for the expansion and perspective replacement of the previously existing system. This is intended to connect both the district office including its branch offices and the district schools and protect them from future threats. These are 2 machines of the type Fortigate 1800F from the manufacturer Fortinet in a 24/7 UTP bundle and a term of 5 years. The migration is to be carried out in the form of a service at the Fulda location. It includes a migration workshop, the exchange and configuration of the delivered systems and finally documentation.

The intention is also to purchase 10 Fortinet Fortigate 100 F firewall models and 300 FAP221E Forti access points for the renewal and expansion of the firewall and WLAN infrastructures of various local schools. The firewalls are delivered in a 24x7 UTP bundle, the access points including a FortiCare contract. The term of all products is 5 years.
