Institutt for energiteknikk (IFE) [the Institute for Energy Technology] is a frontrunner in international energy research. The knowledge we have developed has saved the petroleum industry several hundred billion Norwegian kroner. We have contributed to the development of ground-breaking cancer medicine, new solutions in renewable energy, more energy-efficient industrial processes, zero-emission transport solutions and future-oriented energy systems.

IFE's vision is to create one of Norway's most attractive research park at Kjeller, and together with Kjeller områdeforum [the Kjeller area forum], IFE has worked on a feasibility study for the development of the Kjeller district. The vision of establishing an innovation district in Romerike is based on a broad collaboration, and physical proximity between universities, research institutions, entrepreneurial environments, and existing high-tech companies.

Regarding the engineering design and establishment of a research and technology park at Kjeller, IFE needs to connect with providers of advisory services in various disciplines. IFE intends to enter into parallel framework agreements with 2-3 total providers of the following general services:

- Engineering design management (Norwegian: PRL) and engineering design coordinator (Norwegian: PGK)

- Architects' Services (Norwegian: ARK, LARK, IARK and BIM coordinator)

- Consulting engineering services for buildings (Norwegian: RIB)

- Consulting engineering services for building physics and energy (Norwegian: RIBfy and RIen)

- Consulting engineering services for heating, ventilation and sanitation and water, sewage, and storm water run-off (Norwegian: RIV/RIva)

- Consulting engineering services for traffic and roads (Norwegian: RIveg)

- Consulting engineering services for electrical installations (Norwegian: RIE)

- Consulting engineering services for geotechnics (Norwegian: RIG)

- Consulting engineering services for fire-proofing (Norwegia: RIBr)

- Consulting engineering services for environmental engineering (Norwegian: RIM)

- Consulting engineering services for acoustics (Norwegian: Riaku)
