The Stadtwerke Düsseldorf Group, consisting of Stadtwerke Düsseldorf AG (SWD), Netzgesellschaft Düsseldorf mbH, Awista Gesellschaft für Abfallwirtschaft und Stadtreinigung mbH and other companies, has been using SAP R/3 ISU for its essential energy management processes since 2002 (conversion from R\2 to R\3).
The SAP ISU processes and the master and transaction data are to be implemented on an SAP S/4 Hana Utilities System (shell migration). According to current planning, the introduction of SAP S/4 Hana Utilities is to start in Q3/2023, taking into account the SAP Activate project methodology, and go live in October 2025.
The project advertised here is part of an IT transformation program with four individual projects. The objective of the entire transformation program is the development of a holistic IT system based on innovative and future-oriented SAP technologies in order to meet the future requirements of digitization and automation in an S/4HANA utilities system landscape. The S/4 Hana Utilities project is expected to be divided into 4 sub-sections based on the project phases: The 1st sub-phase comprises the project phases Discover & Prepare, the 2nd sub-phase includes the phase Explore, the 3rd sub-phase includes the project phase Realize and the 4th sub-phase includes the project phase Deploy (incl. Hypercare).
In the Discover & Prepare section, project planning takes place including work packages, milestones and the design of the cooperation.
In the Explore Phase subsection, the fit-to-standard or fit-gap validation as well as the solution design for the future process and IT landscape are carried out on the basis of various workshops per market role. In this phase, the SWD (Stadtwerke Düsseldorf AG) specifics are fully compared with the SAP standard in order to determine in concrete terms which special features must be adopted by SWD and in which cases the use of the standard is sufficient.
Subsequently, in the two subsections Realize and Deploy, the implementation of the designed target architecture (configuration and development) as well as the connection of the participating peripheral systems and the entire test management, user training, cutover management as well as go-live migration and subsequent hypercare phase take place.
At the end of the Explore phase (planned approx. Q2 2024), the client reserves the right to transfer the 3rd and 4th sections, not to the contractor, but in the context of a new invitation to tender if necessary. to a different provider. For this purpose, the client shall inform the contractor at the latest upon completion of the 2nd section.
The contractor will only be commissioned if the competent bodies of the client agree to the S/4 Hana project. In the event of refusal of committee approval, the contractor may not assert any claims, in particular no claims for damages, against the client.
