Description of the planning task

General

The construction of Berlin Brandenburg International Airport (BER) makes it necessary to develop traffic in the approximately 440-hectare eastern area around the airport. The Transversale in Schönefeld, OT Waltersdorf, will open up the area between the A113 and A117. In total, an approximately four-kilometre-long relief road / main access road will be built from the Waltersdorf industrial estate to the Business Park Berlin. After completion, it will be operated and maintained as a public road or facility. It is owned by the municipality of Schönefeld.

The transversal is planned as a bidirectional carriageway. The alignment elements comply with the guideline for the construction of urban roads (RASt 06), road category HS IV (main road with local connection function). The design speed was Ve = 50 km/h. Footpaths and cycle paths are run in the ancillary facilities of the Transversale, which ensure the continuous network of footpaths and cycle paths from Treptow to Waltersdorf and BER Airport.

The planning of the transversal itself is not part of the tendered service.

The bridge to be planned will transfer the transversal in the area of the 2nd construction phase (from south to north) via the loading road still in the planning stage, including the loading track (not electrified) for ROBA Transportbeton GmbH, the double-track electrified railway line 6151 (Glasower Damm Ost junction - Bohnsdorf Süd junction) and the existing "Schwarzer Weg" road, among others.

In the future, a DB AG stop is to be built in the area of the bridge to be planned.

The widths of the median strip, the roadway and the outer caps are to be finally determined in the course of planning in consultation with the client and in accordance with the applicable guidelines.

The structure is to be designed according to DIN EN 1991-1 and DIN EN 1991-2 for loads on road bridges.

According to the client's assessment, the bridge structure for the object and structural planning is located in the HZ III fee zone (simple multi-span or arch bridge with an average degree of difficulty).

The provisionally eligible construction costs for the structure are estimated at EUR 8.8 million (net).

Billing is carried out in accordance with HOAI after the cost calculation, taking into account the non-chargeable costs then shown.

Description of the civil engineering structure

The planning of the traffic facility is currently in the preliminary planning stage. At present, the following parameters are assumed:

The structure is routed in a straight line and has 2 directional lanes. 2 lanes are planned for each lane. On the outer caps, footpaths and cycle paths are transferred.

The separate superstructures have a longitudinal slope of 0.7%. The lateral inclination on the roadways is 2.5% outwards in each case.
