The tender contest includes the transport and treatment of subsequent waste fractions. Specific types of hazardous waste, which are included and must be priced, are given in the price and tender sheet (Appendix 3):
Wood, Residual waste, Foam rubber, mattresses including spring mattresses, blankets, duvets, large textiles, textile furniture, Plastic, mixed (hard plastic and foil), Metals, Electric cables and wires, Car tires without rims and rubber, Car tires on rims, Discarded leisure boats, Hazardous waste.
The total scope of waste at the recycling station in 2021 was just under 2 200 tonnes of relevant fractions (ordinary waste). There were also approx. 313 tonnes of hazardous waste.
Kragerø municipality wants the tenderer to establish systems for the waste that can be used as raw materials for material recycling.

The procurements includes:
• Transport (including containers and other collection equipment) of relevant types of waste (listed above) and which is received at Nilsbukjerr Recycling Station.
• Treatment of the different waste types. Disposal through reuse, material recycling and energy utilisation as well as a waste disposal site, where nothing else is possible.

Both regular and hazardous waste are included in the contract. Quantities that are included as a basis for pricing are given in the price and tender sheet, Appendix 3 to the tender documentation.
Kragerø municipality has in its main goal, in the municipality's waste plan, stated that:
• 55% of the waste shall be sent as secondary raw materials for material recycling by 2025.
Based on i.a the main goal mentioned above, Kragerø municipality wants the tenderer to establish systems for the waste that can be used as raw materials for material recycling.
Waste that cannot be reused or used for material recycling must be used for energy purposes with the highest possible degree of energy utilisation. Exceptions here, may be ash from energy utilisation that can be waste disposal sites if no other disposal is achieved as well as deposit of certain types of hazardous waste.
