The procurement will focus on the planning and implementation of the first phase of the WordPress web service package of the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE) and the application maintenance, further development and operating services (hosting) of the whole entity throughout the contract period.

In the first step, the web service package for standalone sites includes the following prearranged standalone sites and WordPress themes:

(a) Sites to be implemented in the first stage:

• Luonnontila.fi website

• RYTJ's communication website

b) First to implement duplicate WordPress themes:

• The main theme of SYKE to be built in connection with the implementation of the RYTJ website, on the basis of which possible child themes will be established during the further development phase, as well as a large part of THE WordPress dedicated sites in accordance with SYKE's basic image and brand.

For the work on the first stage planning and implementation project, fixed pricing is used for the procurement. The requirements for the multisite solution to be acquired are described in the specification document in Annex 1 to the invitation to tender (Appendix 1 — Requirement specification). The plans will be refined during the project together with the vendor you want to select. After the first phase, the development of WordPress sites is to continue as a follow-up development with the selected supplier.

The Supplier must provide SYKE with support, further development and additional work related to Wordpress solutions at the prices described in the offer.
