University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW); on behalf of UHCW, Rugby St Cross NHS Trust, South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust, George Eliot NHS Trust and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust; require the following funeral and related services to be arranged and undertaken by a contractor(s) on behalf of the Trusts and that should comply with law:

— adult deaths in hospital or on Trusts premises,

— babies: stillborn over 24 gestation and neonatal deaths,

— pregnancy tissue and foetal remains below 25 weeks gestation.

The Authority requires the following funeral and related services to be arranged and undertaken by contractors on behalf of the Trusts and that should comply with law:

— adult deaths in hospital or on Trust premises,

— non-viable foetus (20-24 weeks gestation), stillborn and neonatal deaths,

— sensitive disposal of pregnancy tissue and foetal remains, live born and neonatal (conception up to 19 weeks 6 days gestation including ectopic pregnancy).

The procurement process is being run and managed by UHCW however decision to award contracts as a result of this procurement will be the responsibility of the individual Trusts and their authorised representatives.
