Framework agreement to support monitoring according to the EC Water Framework Directive (WFD) in Baden-Württemberg and data management.

For the further implementation of the WFD, the ecological and chemical status assessment of watercourses must be updated.

For this purpose, the biological investigation data collected on the watercourses are recorded with the PERLA computer tool developed for this purpose. For this purpose, the chemical and physico-chemical investigation data collected on the watercourses are recorded either by means of the IT tool ILIMS (at Ref. 61 "Laboratory for Water and Soil") or via an EDP interface in the state's own database system "Specialised Information System for Water Quality" (FisGeQua) and managed and processed together with the biological data in FisGeQua.

The evaluation is carried out with the nationwide uniform specifications and evaluation tools.
