The contract includes a liquid chromatograph connected to a high-ore mass spectrometer (LC-HRMS). The LC-HRMS system shall be used for the analysis of organic substances (smaller molecules) directly in or extracts of various sample materials including wipes, silicone samplers, blood and urine. The equipment will be used for a number of new quantitative analyses (e.g. chlorinated paraffins) as well as 'suspect screening' and to some extent 'untargeted analysis' of samples from workplaces. As the levels of xenobiotics and various exposure markers can be very low, this places great demands on both the sensitivity of the equipment but also resolution (R) etc., for the identification of unknown substances.
