Avinor shall expand central areas at Stavanger Airport Sola (shortened SLS-USO1). The expansion consists of expanding the departure hall and storage building which has already begun, as well as expanding the arrivals and customs area (this announcement). The new construction's foundation plate is approximately 2 300 m2. The building will be founded on friction piles which will be pushed down to a depth of 35 m to 40 m.

Pile footings, lift well and foundation plate including concrete slab will be case on-site. Supporting columns will be of prefabricated concrete combined with steel columns. Other floors consist of hollow core slabs on HSQ joists of steel as well as prefabricated concrete joists.

This contract covers ground works as well as demolition of some existing constructions. The current plan for execution is in the period 1.2.2016-1.5.2016.

Examples of work which may be included in the contract:

— Rigging works for the Contractor.

— Demolition of the existing hire vehicle building and interim reinforcement/support of pillars in those that are not to be demolished.

— Raising of interim facades where the hire vehicle building will be demolished as well as protection of the existing glass facade to the hotel.

— Excavation and back filling under the foundation plate and lift well.

— Excavation for new for under ground cables.

Other conditions:

— The construction area lies on the land side (white zone) during the entire construction period.

— The airport is in operations while the construction works are being carried out. Contractor must take this into account.

— The expansion will be built against the existing constructions. This will increase the degree of difficulty of construction works.

— There are a number of existing cables in the construction area including high voltage cables. These must be safeguarded.
