This study meets four objectives in the territory:

- meet the provisions M2-1 "Updating inventories and characterizing wetland functionalities provides for the following elements" and Qe3-8 "Inventory landscape elements and characterize their functionalities" of the revised Loire Estuary SAGE;

- protect wetlands and structuring elements of the landscape by integrating them into the urban planning documents of the Community of Municipalities, in particular in the Local Intercommunal Urban Plan (Plui) currently under construction;

- implement the Territorial Water Contracts (Cteau) on the "Sillon and Marais Nord Loire" and "Brière-Brivet" watersheds, in which these inventories are programmed;

- contribute to the implementation of a "water quality" component on the perimeter of the Sillon and Marais Nord Loire watershed
