The contractor shall provide the services from pathology including molecular pathology for the clients, in particular histology, cytology, molecular pathology, dissection services, rapid sections. This includes all common histological, enzyme-chemical, immunohistochemical and molecular pathological procedures (incl. Next Generation Sequencing - NGS). In principle, the procedures are carried out at the contractor's location.

The contractor is available for consultative discussions and consultations of the specialists.

Desired special services in the field of pathology such as consultation or second reports are forwarded to the respective institutions after consultation with the clients and settled by them directly with the clients.

Before (non-standard) additional examinations, the further procedure must be agreed with the client.

The contractor must ensure timely and proper execution of the pathology services required by the clients. A high level of specialist competence of the contractor in histological and cytological examinations and the required follow-up examinations as well as in autopsies is indispensable.

The collection of the necessary declaration of consent from the patients is carried out by the client. The test material is properly marked by the clients, provided with the agreed accompanying documents / additional information and made available to the collector at a central point.

The area "Neuropathology" is to be provided with a physician for neuropathology and assigned training assistants.

Molecular pathological methods and analysis results are to be analyzed and evaluated by medical staff. All parameters of haematological special diagnostics are to be offered in an indication-guiding manner.

The object of performance includes the examination of quick cuts.

The contractor is responsible for compliance with the legally prescribed documentation requirements, in particular the archiving periods.

On the part of the contractor, a periodic transmission of performance statistics and case-related billing data must take place.

The contractor has a correspondingly modern equipment to comply with applicable guidelines, laws, specifications, standards.

A DIN-ISO certification (certification according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 or a comparable QM system) and participation in proficiency tests must be proven.

The possibility of billing outpatient clinic services (outpatient surgery) must be available through the provision of a KV approval.

The nature and scope of the investigations result from the technical requirements and the orders placed. Follow-up examinations are only permitted with the consent of the client. The contractor shall provide the clients with instructions in written or text form on the professional removal and handling of the test material. The contractor advises the clients with regard to the use of his range of services, in particular with regard to the selection of pathological examinations. If an established examination procedure is modified, which changes the results and thus the interpretation clinically significant, the contractor shall inform the client in good time.
