The barn at Solum vicarage is considered worthy of preservation, but has a side wing that is in a poor technical condition. A general permission has been given for the demolition of the side wing and construction of a new side wing that shall externally be as much as possible identical to the existing wing. The assignment includes complete demolition of the side wing and construction of a new side wing with approximately same size, location and design as the demolished wing. Furthermore, the roof on the main building shall be replaced with new roofing sheets.
