The market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is planning the new construction of the primary and secondary school on Gröben.

The market town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is planning the new construction of the primary and secondary school on Gröben. To this end, a planning competition for buildings and outdoor facilities has already been announced.

The property is located between Maximilianstraße and Loisach. On the property there is currently a main building, an annex and a simple gym. The main building and gymnasium will be demolished and replaced by new buildings (approx. 4,800 m² GFA without gym), whereby the gym is not the subject of this order.

The extension will be preserved and will include the middle school in the future. The new building will accommodate the primary school, administration and open all-day school. In addition, there are subordinate conversion measures on the existing building (approx. 3,000 m² GFA) in the transition to the new building. The exact scope of the conversion measures will be determined by the client after the contract has been awarded or depending on the competition design.

The assignment will take place directly after the negotiated procedure, probably at the end of 2022/ beginning of 2023. Initially, the service phases 1 to 2 in the performance profile structural design according to §§ 51 ff. HOAI are commissioned.

In addition, the work phases 3 to 6 are expected to be commissioned.

The gross construction costs for the overall construction project of cost groups 100 to 700 are currently estimated at around € 11.8 million.

The application for a building permit should be submitted by summer 2023 at the latest. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2024 and the measure will be completed at the end of 2025.
