The contract includes a fluid chromatograph that is connected to a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer (LC-MS/MS) to the NFA. The LC-MS/MS system should be used for analyses of organics in various sample matrices such as urine, saliva, serum, etc. The equipment will be used for routine analyses as well as analyses of new drugs. Since levels of environmental pollutants and various exposure markers can be very low, this places great demands on the sensitivity and technical quality of the equipment, but also on robustness and reliability.
