The Government of Åland hereby invites tenderers to participate in this procurement for a construction contract for the reconstruction of the Kumlinge ferry port and the replacement of the Kastörsbron bridge in the municipality of Kumlinge. The assignment is a construction contract and the tenderer is the main contractor.

The assignment concerns a construction contract divided into two construction objects.

1.    Byggnadsobjekt Kastörsbron

The contract includes the construction of a new composite bridge in steel and concrete with the necessary foundation, reinforcement, foundation and road construction work for both temporary and permanent roads according to the documents attached to this procurement. The contract also includes demolishing an existing bridge. The bridge is part of Åland's public transport network.

The contract is a sub-project in the renewal of the existing bridge stock in Åland so that the bridges have the capacity to handle current traffic loads.

2. Byggnadsobjekt Kumlinge färjfäste

The assignment concerns the reconstruction of Kumlinge's northern ferry abutment and includes all necessary excavation, piling, forming and casting work according to documents attached to this procurement. The contractor must coordinate its own work with a side contract relating to the installation of flaps and hydraulics. The construction area is served daily by the vessels operating in the Åland archipelago.

The contract is a sub-project in the renewal and adaptation of ferry anchorages for new tonnage in the Åland archipelago and the replacement of bridges.
