DVG intends to convert its entire diesel bus fleet to fuel cell buses in the period up to 2030. For this purpose, 14 articulated low-floor urban buses and 7 solo low-floor urban buses with fuel cell drive as well as an optional 4 further solo low-floor city line buses with fuel cell drive are to be procured at the beginning. The schedule provides for a mandatory delivery of 14 articulated low-floor urban buses by the end of 2024 at the latest and a delivery of 7 solo low-floor urban line buses and the 4 optional solo low-floor urban line buses by the end of 2025 at the latest. DVG's decision as to whether this option is to be exercised in whole or in part will be made until the award decision has been made.
DVG also intends to conclude a (full) service contract for an expected 2 years plus extension options until a total mileage of approx. 600,000 km per vehicle is achieved.
