The Free State of Bavaria, represented by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior, for Sport and Integration, represented by the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA), intends to issue a lease agreement for the rental of three mobile antenna carriers over the term of 4 years from December 1, 2021 through the present procurement procedure. close.
The digital radio BOS is the central tactical means of communication for authorities and organizations with security tasks in daily use and in special situations such as major damage events or catastrophes. The Authorized Body Bavaria (AS BY) forms the competence center for digital radio of all authorities and organizations with security tasks (BOS) in the Free State of Bavaria and is responsible for the provision of digital radio services for all users of BOS in Bavaria. The radio network was put into operation at the end of 2015 and comprises around 900 base stations (radio mast plus technology). An essential requirement for the operation of the digital radio BOS as a core element of the security architecture of the Federal Republic of Germany is to ensure that the BOS users have sufficient availability of communication, both in the event of disruptions in everyday operations and in the event of impairments in emergency situations. In addition, availability must also be provided for the necessary measures to optimize the radio network. The experience gained shows that, in addition to the permanently installed base stations, temporary base stations (tBS) are absolutely necessary for network optimization. Due to the topology of the Free State of Bavaria and the distribution of the base stations, the need is also seen to have to rely on mobile antenna carriers with mast heights of up to 40 m.
