The planning area is located in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, district of Börde, in the districts of Bertingen and Mahlwinkel in the municipality of Angern. The Treueldeich is located here between Rogätz and the village of Zibberick, in the area of the Elbe km 345.0 to 355.0. It is a 4.4 km long flood protection system, which was divided into two sections for the rehabilitation.
The aim of the measure in the dike section km 2.3 to 4.4 to be planned is to complete the existing dike by:
- Construction of a landside berm with dike defense path (DVW) as well as
- the associated adaptation of two crossings.
The widening of the dike contact area results in an additional space requirement. The resulting interventions in nature and landscape have already been taken into account as part of the nature conservation planning. An intervention permit under nature conservation law has been issued (February 2021).
