The procurement concerns the acquisition of Patient Monitoring Systems at existing departments and clinics in Region Västmanland. The delivery must include all required complete hardware, software, training, installation, commissioning, support and service contracts, etc.

Installations and commissioning at Region Västmanland's various hospitals will take place in stages over several years to come. The procurement will also include the Patient Monitoring System for the New Acute Hospital Västerås (NAV), which is under construction.

The ceiling value in the framework agreement is SEK 70,000,000. VAT.

Extent

The procurement relates to framework agreements as described in the procurement documents.

Region Västmanland uses patient monitoring equipment in many different operations and premises. There are both completely independent monitoring equipment and those that are connected to department centers or journal systems. Much of the equipment is old and is either in urgent need of replacement or needs to be replaced in the next few years. There is both stationary equipment and telemetry equipment, as well as Spot check/spot checks.

The clinics currently involved are the Surgery Clinic, the Emergency Clinic, the ICU, the Children's Ward, the Neonatal Department and the Medical Clinic (HIA, Heart Clinic). Examples of what will be included are the following:

Option on support and service contracts

Option for technical in-depth service training

Option for clinical in-depth follow-up training

Ceiling volume

The ceiling amount in the framework agreement is SEK 70,000,000 excl. VAT.

If the value of the Agreement exceeds the stated amount, the Agreement shall terminate without further confirmation by either party. The parties share a mutual responsibility to notify the counterparty if the ceiling value is reached.

The ceiling value should not be seen as a guaranteed value, but only sets an upper limit for the contract.

Any guarantee of obtaining certain volume is not given.
