The district of Hameln-Pyrmont is planning the construction of the new school centre in Emmerthal. The new building will be a merger of the primary school and secondary school forms. The new building is being built on the site of the current Hauptschule and Realschule.The building is planned as a wood-hybrid building with 2-3 floors and a partial basement.

In the present award procedure, therefore, a "structural engineer" with wood-structural experience is to be commissioned.

Interim solutions for the further schooling of the approximately 570 pupils must be found and built. The new building is to be constructed as a timber hybrid building.

A general planner was commissioned to design a timber hybrid building. In the course of planning, it must be decided and economically weighed up which load-bearing components made of wood and which made of reinforced concrete can be achieved. The services of the structural design are commissioned in accordance with the currently applicable HOAI.
