Project description
The Student Union Osnabrück, Ritterstraße 10 in 49074 Osnabrück plans to technically and energetically refurbish the existing student residence Am Sonnenkamp, Universitätsstraße 9 in 49377 Vechta from 1977, as well as to adapt it to current, usage-specific requirements.
The building ensemble consists of an old building 9, 9a, 9b, arranged in a U-shape and a supplementary new building 9c from 2015, which formally forms a closed square. Building 9a has a partial cellar.
The massively constructed old building consists of 3 almost identical bars, which were built 3 or 4 storeys due to the split-level construction and form canopies and loggias through protrusions and rectrusions. At the crossings of the bars, the building is connected by two-storey intermediate blocks. The gross floor area of all parts of the building is approximately 3985 m² and the gross volume is approximately 11,685 m³.
The old building, including the dismantling of the facade, is to be returned to its shell state.
The usage units consist of student shared apartments with common areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
