The Kandel municipality procures an LF 20 extinguishing group vehicle according to DIN 14 530-11 as a demonstration vehicle for the Kandel fire brigade. Vehicles that were built as HLF 20 (and will be converted into an LF 20 according to DIN 14 530-11 by expanding the technical auxiliary load) are also accepted.
The municipality of Kandel procures an LF 20 extinguishing group vehicle according to DIN 14 530-11 as a demonstration vehicle for the Kandel fire brigade. Vehicles that were built as HLF 20 and will be converted to an LF 20 in accordance with DIN 14 530-11 by expanding the technical auxiliary load are also accepted. Boxes and brackets are to be installed in the free rooms in order to store material provided by the Kandel fire brigade.
The guidelines for demonstration vehicles in Rhineland-Palatinate must be observed:
- Vehicle not older than 18 months
- did not drive more than 20,000 km
- Tyres and paintwork as good as new
- a delivery inspection is carried out in accordance with EN 1846
- the supplier provides a guarantee like a new vehicle
The vehicle must have the following additional equipment:

All-wheel drive 2. Automatic or automated transmission 3. Engine power: at least 220 KW/299 HP Construction:
1. Extinguishing water tank with a capacity of at least 2000 litres 2. Foam tank with a capacity of at least 120 litres 3. Standard pressure pump FPN 10-3000 The following functions must at least be available in the pump control system:
- Hydrant filling line with automatic level control
- Automatic pressure control of the pump outlet pressure
- cavitation monitoring
- Automatic temperature monitoring, automatic drainage

1. The load stored on the vehicle, which can also be used as standard load for an LF 20, must also be offered.
The vehicle must be presented to the Rhineland-Palatinate State Fire School and accepted by them. The vehicle must comply with all regulations for an LF 20 in Rhineland
Palatinate. If this is not the case, the vehicle cannot be procured (exclusion).
The vehicle is to be delivered to the Kandel fire brigade in January 2023.
