The Thalaubachtalbrücke is located in the course of the A7 motorway and bridges the B 279 federal road, as well as several dirt roads and the Thalaubach. The viaduct crosses the two directional lanes on 2 separate superstructures. It is a 7-span steel bridge. Due to deficits, the building is to be replaced by a new building. In order to maintain traffic safety until the superstructure is replaced, the structure will be reinforced. Since a 4 + 0 traffic routing is not possible on the building, the motorway is swiveled to the east. First of all, a new part of the building will be built next to the existing building.
This lateral relocation of the new valley structure has the consequence that the existing, approximately 900 m long cut-out that follows the north side of the valley bridge in the further course of the A7 has to be widened. A support structure is provided as a nail wall within the terrain cut in the area of the slope to be offset on the mountain side.
