University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a large inner city teaching hospital with a world-wide reputation for excellence. It provides first class acute services to the immediate population of Central North London and specialist services to people at a national and international level. We see over 1 010 950 outpatients a year and admit over 170 000 patients each year. The Trust provides academically-led acute and specialist services, to people from the local area, from throughout the United Kingdom and overseas. UCLH is committed to delivering top-quality patient care, excellent education and world class research. The Trust currently operates 8 Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners at University College Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The Trust currently does not have the facilities to provide Open and Vertical MRI scans in house for special patient cases so there is a need to find a provider of these services within a radius of 13 miles from University College Hospital, 235 Euston Road, London, NW1 2BU. Due to the specialist nature of the service the Trust has decided to separate the requirements into two individual lots, these are:
— Lot 1 — Open MRI Service
— Lot 2 — Vertical MRI Service
Bidders are able to provide responses to a single Lot or a combined response covering both Lot 1 and Lot 2. Successful provider(s) will be awarded on the most economically advantageous based on the listed Quality and Price criteria. Further information can be found with the service specification.
