2021 KV/MRL 04 Klinikum Vest GmbH - Paracelsus Clinic Marl site - renovation of 3 bed-leading stations 2B, 2A, 1B - planning services of architecture, service phases 1-8, § 34 HOAI

Klinikum Vest GmbH intends to carry out the following construction work at its site in Paracelsus Clinic Marl:

Refurbishment of station pages 1B, 2A and 2B. The implementation is expected to take place in 2022 (2B, subject discipline pulmonology), 2023 (2A, subject discipline pulmonology) and 2024 (1B, internal medicine discipline) with the renovation/conversion of one station side each.

The architectural planning services required for this purpose, LPH 1-8, § 34 HOAI, are the subject of this call for tenders.

Klinikum Vest GmbH, Dorstener Straße 151, 45657 Recklinghausen, intends to carry out the following construction work at its site in Paracelsus Clinic Marl:

Refurbishment of station pages 1B, 2A and 2B. The implementation is expected to take place in 2022 (2B, subject discipline pulmonology), 2023 (2A, subject discipline pulmonology) and 2024 (1B, internal medicine discipline) with the renovation/conversion of one station side each.

Klinikum Vest GmbH, with its sites in Paracelsus Clinic Marl and Knappschaftskrankenhaus Recklinghausen, provides over 31,000 inpatient and 82,000 outpatient patients a year in 21 specialist departments. The Paracelsus Clinic Marl was put into operation in 1955. In addition to necessary maintenance measures, numerous medical-necessary sub-areas and bed-leading stations have already been renovated in the past few years at the Paracelsus Clinic Marl.

Level 1A, including the establishment of a new central station base, is currently undergoing full renovation. With the exception of levels 1B, 2A, 2B and 3B, all bed-leading stations in the Paracelsus Clinic Marl have been modernized after completion of the work in December 2021. A central station base has already been integrated at all levels.

As part of the planned building dimension names in the Paracelsus Clinic, the integration of elective service rooms (comfort rooms) to adapt to the new corporate identity shortage clinics comfort must be provided for.

The refurbishment and set-up of the stations must take place in the same way as the clinic's stations that have already been redesigned. Since the central bases have already been created at all levels, the focus is now on modernizing and building patient rooms, bathrooms, hallways and comfort areas.

Level 2B (rehabilitation 2022) is currently being used to care for patients in the specialist department “Pulmonology, Respiratory and Sleep Medicine”. The conversion of the B side of the station is to be carried out analogous to the house's pre-renovated balancing station (levels 3, 4, 5 and 6). There is also a comfort area to be planned.

The comfort rooms are to be planned as follows: 1 x single room > 21 sqm, wet room > 4 sqm; 2 x twin rooms, each > 28 sqm, wet room > 4 sqm. The comfort rooms are to be provided in a separate area at the end of the station.

In the course of renovations, structural fire protection is to be improved in accordance with current requirements and electrical and ventilation technology modernized. The obsolete pipelines (drinking water, etc.) of the level are also renewed.

The rehabilitation of level 2A, which is also used to care for patients in the subject discipline “pulmonology, respiratory and sleep medicine” and the rehabilitation of level 1B (subject discipline “gastroenterology hepatology, cardiology and infectiology”) should be planned according to the same scheme (control performance areas/ comfort areas) in 2023 and will be carried out in 2024.

The planning services are tendered for all three planned measures.

In the case of commissioning, repetitive planning services apply to investigation/calculation of planning fees § 11 paragraph 3 HOAI.

The following trades have to be taken into account when planning the renovation work:

body construction, drywall, metal construction, interior plastering, painting, screed and top floor work, interior doors and frame work, wall protection and handrail installation, electrical installations with rewiring for low and high current incl. nurse call system, comprehensive fire alarm system, installation of bed rails, heating installations, Sanitary installations and ventilation technology the replacement of the fire dampers in the stock.

The planning services required by architects to perform these tasks, service phases 1-8, § 34 HOAI are the subject of this award procedure.

Local presence at the site must be ensured at tight intervals according to planning requirements.

The continuity of personnel with regard to the presence on site must be ensured as far as possible.

Project and plan meetings take place in Marl and/or Recklinghausen.

Planned redevelopment period of level 2B: 2022

Planned redevelopment period of level 2A: 2023

Planned redevelopment period of level 1B: 2024

Estimated construction costs (cost group 300, 400, 700): approx. EUR 1.1 million gross per level (total approximately 3.3 million EUR gross)
