Delivery of tires and complete wheels

Delivery, assembly and storage of tires and complete wheels

area of Cologne-Mitte

The contractor must provide the client with the following services:

Assembly of new tires and complete wheels

The contractor has to offer tire brands for various motor vehicles. The tires, rims and complete wheels must have the performance characteristics required by the customer (e.g. summer, winter or all-weather tires, load index, speed index). The contractor must guarantee the proper and legal tire properties on the basis of the registration certificate II of the respective vehicle.

Only new goods are to be used; the customer does not accept retreaded tires, for example. The tire age of new tires (DOT No.) may be a maximum of 12 months ago.

The contractor shall ensure that he constantly keeps at least one set of new tires in stock for up to four types of tires per lot.

Tyre and wheel change

When changing tires and wheels, a distinction is made between:

1. seasonal change dates (summer to winter bikes and vice versa) of bikes stored by the contractor that are still functional and wear-resistant, and

2. Change tires and rims all year round, in case of defects or heavy wear.

During assembly, the wheels must be replaced by axle (i.e. front right wheel to the rear right, etc.) in order to reduce wear. The wheels with the greater tread depth always belong on the rear axle of all vehicles.

The activity of tire and wheel change basically involves the following work steps:

1. check for possible defects and measurement of tread depth, visual inspection of all-weather tires for each season,

2. removing the tires to be changed from the rim or removing the complete wheels,

3. disposal of tires or complete wheels in the event of defects or wear,

4. Labeling the dismantled complete wheels (“VR” or “HL” and the respective NRW license plate),

5. installation of new tires or complete wheels or assembly of the stored complete wheels (in both cases including balancing and air pressure control, filling the tires at 0.2 bar above the maximum air pressure specified for the vehicle),

6. Calibrating the tyre pressure monitoring system (if available),

7. Storage of the dismantled complete wheels.

emplacement

The still functional complete wheels that are replaced due to a seasonal changeover date must be professionally stored and washed by the contractor until the next exchange date.

The complete wheels must be checked for damage and foreign objects in the profile before storage.

The complete wheels must be marked with “VR” for “front right”, “HL” for “rear left”, etc. In addition, the wheels must be marked securely and traceably so that the complete wheels can be assigned to the customer's respective vehicle (NRW license plate).

After the completion of the season change, the client's staff responsible for the lots must be provided with stock lists, which show at least: license plate per wheel set, tire size, type (summer/winter) and tread depths.

The complete wheels must be stored in a cool, dry and dark place, avoiding direct sunlight. The complete wheels must be stored one above the other with increased air pressure and should not come into contact with oil, grease or solvents.

The stored complete wheels must be able to be made available again at any time upon request by the client, for example when a vehicle is rejected or replaced. The client undertakes to collect these requested wheelsets from the branch within 2 working days after notification of their availability for collection.

Collection of the entire stock of bikes per lot from the previous provider

After the contract has been awarded, the new contractor must collect and store all wheel sets of the respective lot at his own expense from the previous contractor.
