The existing H2 Container Test Center has four test positions where at moment only tests with gaseous hydrogen can be performed. One of the test positions shall now be extend to liquid hydrogen and later liquid nitrogen (in the same system) infrastructure.
Therefore, the following systems are needed:
• Extension of the gaseous supply system and a new gaseous Helium supply system with a new panel in the test center
• Build up a cryogenic supply system for liquid hydrogen (also suitable for liquid nitrogen) with a new panel in the test center
• A new panel at the test position to connect the new infrastructures
• Build up a cryogenic exhaust system for liquid hydrogen and process gases (gaseous hydrogen, nitrogen and helium)
As interfaces DLR provides:
• Gaseous Helium storage (gas bundles)
• Cryogenic tank for liquid hydrogen and nitrogen
• Vent stack including catch tank for the exhaust system
