The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft intends to build an extension for the Fraunhofer Institute IESE at the Kaiserslautern site. With funds from the federal government, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and the ERDF, the existing building in Kaiserslautern is to be expanded by another part of the building (House D). A research building for 90 employees as well as various technical areas is needed.
The measure with approx. 1939 m² NF 1-6 is composed as follows:
NF 1 Living and staying: 30 m²; NF 2 Office work: 1,080 m²; NF 3 Production, manual and machine work, experiments: 470 m²; NF 4 Warehouse: 100 m²; NF 5 Education, teaching: 259 m².
The building is to be connected with supply and disposal lines. The technical installations of plant groups 4, 5, 6 and 7 are to be planned and the execution monitored. Plant group 7 includes media presentation technology.
The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft attaches great importance to the realization of an innovative, sustainable and resource-saving, but at the same time economical building, energy and operating concept. The aim is to develop an energy concept that allows the building to be operated without additional CO2 emissions.
