Services provided by an area representative for the sustainable renewal funding programme, Greifswalder Straße development area

The Department of Urban Development and Citizen Services of the Pankow District Office of Berlin needs the support of an area representative in the preparation, implementation and coordination of integrated urban redevelopment processes in the Greifswalder Straße funding scene.

The Greifswalder Straße development area with a size of approximately 80 hectares includes a large housing estate from the 1960s and 70s as well as the district centre on Greifswalder Straße. It also includes the new building project on Michelangelostraße. The area is bordered to the east by Kniprodestraße, Gürtelstraße (north), Greifswalder Straße (west) and the railway line with Greifswalder Straße S-Bahn station to the south.

Since 2017, the "Greifswalder Straße" area has been an active urban redevelopment funding backdrop, in which several measures have already been and are being prepared and implemented for the programme years 2017 to 2023. The funding is used on the basis of the Integrated Urban Development Concept (ISEK) of 2017 in coordination with the Senate Department for Urban Development, Building and Housing (SenSBW). A list of measures coordinated with the SenSBW was derived from the ISEK, which serves as the basis for the development of a cost financing plan and the framework for implementation in the Urban Redevelopment/Sustainable Renewal programme.

The management and coordination of the Sustainable Renewal area is carried out by the Pankow Urban Development Office in coordination with SenSBW. The range of tasks of the area representative includes the needs-based support of the district office in these tasks. This includes, among other things, the preparation, implementation and documentation of sustainable renewal projects, public relations work and the organization and implementation of participation processes.

The basis of the order is the valid contract model of the Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing for architectural services including AVB (available at: www.stadtentwicklung.berlin.de/service/rundschreib).
