General description for all trades
The German Pension Insurance Baden-Württemberg plans to fundamentally renovate the extension of the Karlsruhe headquarters, which was built in 1977.
The building is designed as a fully air-conditioned open-plan office building with two basement levels, three full floors (EC 2nd floor) and a saddle floor. The building has a GFA of approx. 18,370 m² and a BRI of approx. 72,240 m².
The extension is designed as a reinforced concrete skeleton construction and has an aluminium glass façade in front, all-round escape balconies with an aluminium steel structure in front and two massive reinforced concrete escape stairwells on the east and west sides. Floors in the open-plan area are designed as coffered concrete ceilings in the core area as solid concrete ceilings.
The 3rd floor, which was built in 1995, consists of a lightweight, set-back steel construction with aluminum-glass cladding, the interior walls are mostly made of plasterboard support walls. As part of the measure, it is planned to dismantle the 3rd floor.
Description for the trade - heating systems KG420
The tendered services include the production, delivery and assembly of:
-Disassembly and proper disposal of heating systems such as radiators, buffer tanks, piping including insulation and various installation parts. There are no heat generators in the inventory.
-Disassembly and proper disposal of refrigeration systems, including refrigerants contained in the systems. The following systems are disposed of:
•Refrigeration machine 1 (KM1), size L/W/H approx. 4.3/1.5/2.2 m
•Refrigeration machine 2 (KM2), size L/W/H approx. 2.85/0.9/2.1 m
•Refrigeration machine 3 (KM3), size L/W/H approx. 4.1/1.7/2.1 m
•Refrigeration machine 4 (KM4), size L/W/H approx. 4.1/1.2/2.1 m
•5 x cooling towers, size L/W/H approx. 9.5/4.5/5.5 m
All of the above facilities are located in the building, in the 2nd basement. Cooling towers have a ceiling opening into the open air.
-Disassembly and proper disposal of all cold pipes up to DN350 including insulation, flow distributor and return collector, installation parts such as double pumps, etc.
-Delivery, installation and commissioning of heating and cooling systems such as heat pumps (approx. 130 kW and 40 kW), 2 x chillers (approx. 1,400 kW cooling capacity each), adiabatic. Dry coolers approx. 3,400 kW total output, pressure retainer, buffer storage, etc.
-The building is supplied with energy by district heating and air-water heat pump. The transfer station for the district heating network is located in the neighbouring building and will not be renewed.
-Delivery, installation and commissioning of the heating and cooling sails. Total area approx. 4,800 m² (active area heating/cooling approx. 1,800 m²).
