The works are a part of the Bus Road 2020 project, which includes a continuous bus route from Stavanger to Sandnes. The facility is from the Breidablikkveien road to the Stasjonsveien road, and it is situated in a densely populated neighbourhood at Vaulen in Stavanger, Rogaland County. Along the construction area there are some businesses, but the area mainly comprises housing properties.
The plant includes:
— A 850 m long main road;
— A passable traffic signal controlled roundabout;
— 2 traffic controlled pedestrian crossing;
— Approx. 600 m noise reduction walls along the east-side, height 2 metres;
— Approx. 700 m noise reduction wall along the east-side, height 3 metres;
— 2 new sub-passages;
— 1 300 m side roads;
— 420 m side-walk;
— The demolition of 3 houses and several car sheds;

The County road 44 shall be partly expanded towards both sides. Total vegbredde er ca. 25.5 m. The cross-section is adapted to a future light rail, the public transport lanes are centred and contains verges facing the traffic lane. The route shall include a cycle lane and pavements on both sides of the road. It shall include 2 bus stops in each directions of the central reserve. The route shall contain commercial financed shelters with permanent electricity for present time information.
