The target of the procurement is the transport of laundry in the kerava laundry area of Puro Tekstiilihuoltopalvelut Oy. The domain and delivery locations are described in more detail in Appendix 2.

Appendix 2 Transport routes, timetables and quantities must be requested from Antti Heikkinen by 18.11.2022 at the latest from address antti.heikkinen@puro.fi.

The laundry is mainly packed for transport in rolls measuring approximately 1700*680*860 mm (h*s*l). The rollercoasters have rubber 5-10 mm impact protectors

in the lower corners of the trolley. In addition, there are also somewhat smaller rollercoasters measuring 1800*480*820 mm (h*s*l).

The own weight of the trolley is 80 kg. The roll of clean laundry weighs on ka. about 230 kg and a roll of dirty laundry ka. about 160 kg. In the textile transport of Peijas Hospital

Both smaller and larger rollercoasters are used at the same time. In part of the transport route, laundry is delivered in boxes 300*600*400 mm (k*p*l) and in bags,

workwear with hangers. All rollovers, boxes and bags are marked with address labels indicating the place of drop off of the delivery and the customer. Not all delivery destinations

can be reached by a large delivery truck. The delivery points, rolls and delivery times are given in Annex 2.

The driver carries out the loading of clean laundry rollercoasters into the car in the laundry.

At the delivery points, the driver performs the unloading and loading of the car according to the instructions given by the laundry. In some items, the driver is responsible for clean laundry

from transport to points of use. As a rule, each delivery point has both the delivery of clean laundry and the pick-up of dirty laundry. Pick-up dirty laundry rolls

must be delivered to the laundry without undue delay. The driver performs the unloading of dirty laundry from the car to the dirt side of the laundry, in the places indicated by the laundry.

The driver also takes care of transporting any empty transport rollers from the delivery points back to the laundry. A drop at the point of delivery must be made

within the distribution period. The number of rolls (pieces) of clean laundry per location may vary from the stated quantities, this is due to our customer's textile order needs.

Please note about the laundry deliveries at Meilahti Hospital:

Meilahti Hospital's laundry is delivered to the underground in the Meilahti Hospital tunnel

(warm room) for the service yard on the basis of a trade-in car – or a replacement container as follows:

- There should always be a car/container in the service yard for loading dirty laundry (including weekends)

- The cargo compartment of the car/container must hold at least 33 rollercoasters

- The driver drives from the laundry to the loading dock of a car/container loaded with clean laundry and opens the doors of the cargo compartment and removes the load securing cloths

- The driver moves to the car in the service yard/takes with him a container loaded with dirty laundry, binds the load and drives to the laundry

- HUS logistics is responsible for emptying the cargo space and loading dirty laundry into the car in the service yard

- The supplier must ensure that the car/container does not interfere with other traffic in the Meilahti service yard

As a rule, transportation takes place from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, the delivery and pick-up of dirty laundry is carried out at three delivery points. Transportation is

be able to be treated in full, if necessary, also on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. In addition to the standard transport referred to in Annex 2, the supplier shall:

As this is hospital laundry, absolute requirements are set for reliability and general cleanliness. The vendor must be able to organize

without delay reserve equipment and personnel. The supplier must also have a plan for arranging the client's transportation in exceptional situations (pandemic, industrial action).

Reserve equipment and reserve personnel must meet the same criteria as those required of other normal personnel and equipment involved in transports.

The contingency arrangements shall be explained in the tender.
