The authority is looking to implement a framework with suitable suppliers to supply, install and maintain most of the internal doors throughout the authority's’ estates.
The framework will be broken down into two lots. Lot 1 will be for specialist doors such as 136 units, bedrooms and other more secure areas requiring such items as anti-barricade and closable observation panels, suitable fire rating as well as the mandatory anti-ligature features.
Lot 2 will be for more general fire doors and will also include annual maintenance/repair programmes for some authorities.
This framework may be accessed by other NHS Bodies as mentioned in the tender document.
Specialist doors such as 136 units, bedrooms and other more secure areas requiring such items as anti-barricade and closable observation panels, suitable fire rating as well as the mandatory anti-ligature features.
It is anticipated the framework will have between three to five suppliers. The actual number will be dependent upon the number of valid bids received and the awarded scores. The authority will assess the awarded scores and look for a reasonable gap (circa 5 points) in the top 3-5 highest scores and only invite those suppliers with higher scores. The minimum award threshold for any tender score is 80.
Authorities may award contracts under this framework as a direct award to the supplier that can supply products that best meet their needs.
Authorities may also undertake further competition and shall invite all capable suppliers to bid. Further competition cost/quality ratios may vary between 30-80 % cost and 30-80 % quality.
Supply and fit fire doors, including annual maintenance/repair programmes for some authorities.
The authority is looking to secure the services of a single supplier who can supply, install, undertake identified remedial/repair works and obtain fire certifications. Sussex Partnership NHS Trust currently has a rolling programme for this requirement. The successful supplier must ensure they have adequate resources to be able to undertake programmed maintenance/repairs for several authorities simultaneously.
