As part of the implementation of the program Stadtumbau Hessen, the city of Frankfurt am Main is looking for a urban redevelopment management (project management and urban redevelopment district management), whose task will be program implementation and monitoring.

The Urban Redevelopment Management has the tasks of project management and urban redevelopment district management and thus ensures a high degree of acceptance of the projects in the residents as well as a successful implementation.

In the area of project management, Urban Redevelopment Management accompanies the preparation, implementation and follow-up of investment projects and measures. Continuous success monitoring and integration into the overall process structure make an important contribution to ensuring program success.

In the area of urban redevelopment district management, urban redevelopment management plays an important role as an interface between the administration, the actors in the district and the residents. In addition, the urban redevelopment district management ensures a continuous transfer of information between all participants in the process.

As part of the Frankfurt Program "Active Neighborhoods", district management by the International Confederation, commissioned by the Youth and Social Services, will be secured for Griesheim-Mitte in 2018 and will be continued for the next few years. While the Neighborhood Management "Active Neighborhoods" aims to sustainably improve the general living and living situation in Griesheim, the newly commissioned Urban Redevelopment Neighborhood Management is to specifically implement the urban redevelopment projects on site and ensure a continuous participation of the residents. Through close cooperation with the existing district management, synergy effects are to be exploited and a successful implementation of the common goals achieved.

For the tandem project management and urban redevelopment district management it is possible to apply as an office with differently qualified employees or to participate in the bidding process in a bidding consortium.

It is important that the project management and the urban redevelopment district management are each set up as a team. If two employees are the main contact persons, they can represent each other or, in the event that one changes, a person ensures continuity. For individual tasks, projects and events or the addressing of individual target groups, other employees with special competences will certainly have to be deployed. For this, it is favorable if there is a pool of other employees who can be called in for support.

In order not to create duplicate structures, the existing district office in the district is to be operated as a joint representation on site with the existing district management. Although the existing neighborhood management will continue to be primarily responsible for the development and design of the district office as a low-threshold point of contact, the urban redevelopment district management and the project control with regular office hours are also represented in the district office.

Parallel to the call for proposals for Urban Redevelopment Management, an Integrated Urban Development Concept (ISEK) will be developed as a basis for further action, embedded in a participation process. The development of the ISEK is expected to be completed in May 2019.
