The city of Aachen intends to award planning services for the project planning of engineering structures for the dismantling of the former police headquarters.
The demolition includes 6 buildings (locking hall, main building with 3 building sections, technical service, 2 garage blocks, workshop) and a gas station (with 4 underground tanks). The building volumes amount to 91,000 cbm on a built-up area of 7,600 sqm. The surface sealing (pavement, asphalt, concrete, etc.) is approx. 18,000 square meters on a plot area of 33,500 square meters.
The eligible costs [project planning for civil engineering structures] are currently estimated at around 5.6 million euros / net.
Completion (dismantling) is currently scheduled for mid / end of 2026.
The order includes freelance planning services.
The following services are to be awarded:
- Object planning of civil engineering structures (service phases 1 - 7 according to HOAI § 43 in conjunction with Annex 12, as well as special services [including development of a pollutant remediation and demolition concept, service phase 8: Object monitoring and documentation according to Annex 10.1 HOAI]).
The required services are based on the service profiles of the HOAI.
