The assignment involves the conversion of classic meters to their respective digital variant.

Specific: for the gas and electricity meters, this conversion is limited to customer installations that meet the following technical conditions:

- electrical power consumption <= 56 kVA,

- G4 / G6 gas meter.

The works must be spread geographically in Flanders. The assignment includes the following parts:

1. on the one hand the remaining share of meters from the priority target groups included in the Flemish Government's Energy Decree. These target groups and their respective digitization deadlines are the following:

- proof of concept / pilot smart meters and the active budget meters - 31.12.2021,

- existing prosumers - 31.12.2022.

In addition, a Lot Electricity Metrology will also be included within these target groups with the deadline 31.12.2021.

2. Moreover, the original objective of full digitization by the end of 2034 was accelerated by the Flemish Government. The new target formulates a conversion of 80% by 31.12.2024. The proportion of installations that must be converted to achieve this acceleration is the second part of the assignment.

In addition to the effective meter change and the contact with the end customer, this assignment does not limit the entire organization, the planning, the division of labor, the follow-up of the deployed personnel, the logistics, the quality control on the work delivered, the data transfer between the contractor. and client (including monitoring of data quality) and the necessary reporting to client. The contractor will have a high degree of freedom to organize on this.

The traditional water meters of drinking water companies can be replaced by the digital version at their request in synergy at the same rhythm and aligned with the timing of the electricity and gas meters.
