The contract relates to a main contract in connection with the contract in connection with the project. the bulwark off Amaliehaven. The project is described in detail below in Section II.2.4). The bulwark off Amaliehaven is a 274-metre-long wooden and granite structure. Amaliehaven's bulwark also includes a 23-metre-long piece, which consists of a steel sheet with a granite superstructure set in a later period. Bolværket, Promenaden behind and Amaliehaven are jointly owned by the Agency for Culture and Palaces (SLKS) and the City of Copenhagen (KK).

The wooden bulwark has been severely degraded by pileworms and must therefore be replaced by a new steel sheet with a concrete superstructure. In connection with the establishment of the superstructure, the granite ashlar bricks from the existing granite ashlar superstructure are reused as much as possible. Similarly, paving stones, mooring rings, etc. are recycled to the extent possible. This saves on materials and the bulwark retains most of its architectural expression. The new quayside is carried out 1.8 meters in front of the existing one.

The tender includes an option to also perform a new bulwark in front of the remaining 23 metres of bulwark, which consists of steel sheet piling.

The staircase is moved towards the new quay and part of the promenade is rerouted and all concrete tiles are replaced with new tiles.

The area being built in has great cultural value and has many visitors in the form of both tourists and locals who walk or cycle in the area. Thus, there is a focus on maintaining a good traffic flow for the many visitors while making the area appear safe to move around in and perceived as tidy.
