Takeover, sorting and recycling of used clothing/shoes.

The total performance is awarded in one lot. Section II.2.4) describes the main services to be provided by the contractor and the most important framework conditions.

– The containers necessary for collection (including the locks on the containers) are provided by the TBR.

– If necessary, emptying (at least once a week) of the collection containers (currently approx. 165 pieces). The current collection quantity is approx. 530 mg/a.

– Regular cleaning and maintenance of the containers, including tests according to UVV (including transport of waste that is in the immediate vicinity of the containers).

– Transport of the collected used clothes to the sorting plant and sorting of the used clothes.

– Recycling/marketing of sorted used clothing and disposal of sorting residues. The sorting rates and recycling routes must be demonstrated.

For the collection and transport service, only vehicles with at least the emission class EURO VI are to be used.

When recycling used clothing, the following standards must be adhered to in accordance with the regulations of the umbrella organisation FairWertung e.V.:

– The recycling or marketing of the collected textiles is disclosed and proven. External auditors can check compliance with the exploitation and marketing criteria.

– All business activities must comply with the applicable labour and social legislation as well as the waste and customs regulations.

Reuse (in particular the production of second-hand goods) is a priority. In addition, the highest possible material recycling of the no longer load-bearing clothing must be carried out using the respective state of the art. In this respect, the implementation of the five-level waste hierarchy of the Closed Substance Cycle Management Act and Directive 2008/98/EC is also observed.
