Humber NHS Foundation Trust is seeking bids from manufacturers and distributers of Ironmongery to obtain agreement to supply the Trust for the majority of its Ironmongery requirements in all new developments or refurbishments. We intend to run this competition and the resultant supplier will then have the products and supplier named in all future tender opportunities where Ironmongery is required as part of the project. The main contractors who bid for these jobs will then order the required items on behalf of the Trust and will receive the benefit of the pricing and conditions of this contract.
The provider of the Ironmongery must provide and develop services that are efficient, cost effective and responsive to the needs of the people who use them. In addition, the provider must provide resilient and reliable solutions that provide value for money for the Trust.
At present the average capital ironmongery replacement works value is at circa £50,000, which has equated to a ward of approx. 80 sets of door furniture being replaced (which it should be noted includes all fitting costs). The Trust also carries out other capital works that includes ironmongery replacements as part of ward refurbishments etc, this varies on an annual basis.
