A restructuring at Cologne Bonn Airport requires a new location for the goods inspection post (hereinafter referred to as WKS), the border inspection post (hereinafter referred to as GKS) and the passenger and vehicle inspection (hereinafter referred to as Z40) on the western airport premises.
All buildings must be connected to the existing transport and media infrastructure, which is why it will be adapted.
The subject of the bill of quantities is the new construction of the outdoor facilities and drainage WKS
including traffic and infrastructure development (Planstraße A & B, checkpoint gate Z40).
The following bill of quantities covers the construction sites:
- Warenkontrollstelle (WKS)
- Planstraße A with gate Z40
- Planstraße B
The tender for the Border Inspection Post (GKS) construction site will be issued at a later date.
The work includes road and sewer construction works as well as the construction of supply lines and conduit routes.
- sewer construction
In the course of this work, pipes with dimensions from DN 100 to DN 400 will be laid for the sewers and pipes. Precast shafts are used as round shafts DN 1000 to 1500. The formation of the bottom channel is carried out for rainwater shafts with screed and for dirty water shafts made of clinker.
The infiltration trough is preceded by a 110m³ rainwater cistern and a filter shaft. In addition, a rainwater lifting system with a downstream tapping station for refueling company vehicles with the collected rainwater has been built.
DIN EN 1610 applies to the construction of excavation pits and trenches.
Fittings and fittings must be designed in such a way that neither line nor dot support occurs.
The embedding of the pipelines is carried out up to 30 cm above pipe apex with suitable, stone-free material.
The material must be chemically neutral. Proof of this must be submitted.
The filling of the pipe trenches must be carried out with compactable material.
The apex overburden is at least 1.00 m.
- Road construction
It is planned to build the road in asphalt construction (body thickness 75 cm). The pavements will be paved with double-T pavement 14/20/8 (construction thickness 52 cm). Flat shelves are used to separate the roadway and the pavement. The demarcation of the sidewalks to the green areas is done with a T10/25 lowboard.
Standard transverse slope: 2.5% carriageway, 3.0% waiting area (pavement);
Flat according to ZTVE-StB and stepped according to the standard cross-sections.

Cable conduit routes of different package thicknesses are provided. These are to be connected to the new reinforced concrete cable ducts. The cable ducts are fitted with diagonally split covers made of spheroidal graphite cast iron.
-Water pipe
In the course of the construction work, a new water pipe DN100 made of ductile iron (GGG) will be built over a length of approx. 250m to supply drinking water to the new construction sites. Under the crossing of the Planstraße B roadway, the cable is laid in a protective tube made of steel and the ends are sealed with shrink sleeves. The integration will take place southeast of the construction site on an existing DN100 GGG pipeline. Before integration into the existing network, the new line must be flushed and sterility (< 20 CFU/ml) must be proven. All work must be coordinated in advance with the FKB department and the airport fire brigade.
- District heating / cooling pipelines
In the course of the construction work, a new district heating and cooling line will be constructed as KMR pipes over a length of approx. 300m to pre-equip the new construction sites. Under the crossing of the Planstraße B roadway, the pipes are laid in protective pipes made of steel and the ends are sealed with shrink sleeves. The integration will take place southeast of the construction site to the existing district heating and cooling network (DN 350/DA500 KMR each). All work must be coordinated in advance with the FKB department.
- lighting
The subject of the contract is all earthworks and backfilling work as well as the production of the lighting foundations and delivery, installation and connection of the lighting.
- marking work
The new areas will be given road markings in accordance with the applicable national guidelines. In principle, it is planned to apply the final markings after completion of the respective construction phase
