The contracting authority, Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, will purchase "Workstation for AI and 5G applications" 10 units within the allocated budget.
The workstations will be used for training AI models of various sizes for processing time series, images, text, audio, and video. Training these models requires the parallel processing support offered by dedicated graphics cards (e.g., Nvidia Cuda). Storage space is needed both for data, as large volumes of data are generally required, and for storing intermediate models created during training experiments. RAM and a multi-core processor are necessary for preprocessing the input data for these models.
The workstations will also be used as Edge devices for processing continuous data streams received from sensors, as well as for generating such streams.
The contracting authority will respond clearly and fully to all clarification/additional information requests on the 11th day before the deadline for submitting bids. The number of days during which clarifications can be requested prior to the bid submission deadline is 18 days.
