LOT-0001
Strategic technology partner for the University Hospital of Cologne.
The digital transformation of the University Hospital of Cologne AöR (UKK) and its subsidiaries is to be designed using Artificial Intelligence. The UKK is one of the largest hospitals in maximum care in North Rhine-Westphalia with around 1,500 planned beds, over 60,000 inpatient cases, and around 350,000 outpatient cases each year. The UKK intends to commission a strategic technology partner who will transform the UKK into a leading center for innovative, data-driven healthcare with access to the latest models of Artificial Intelligence within the framework of a trusting collaboration. The focus of the digital transformation is initially on administration as well as medical processes and care. The strategic technology partner must support the UKK in building modern development and operations environments (DevOps) as well as an AI toolchain to enable UKK's own development teams to independently develop innovative digital solutions within a framework provided by the partner and to operate them securely, legally compliant, and sustainably at the UKK. For maximum cost transparency, the strategic technology partner must conduct continuous monitoring and implement a controlling tool. The UKK places particular emphasis on maintaining digital sovereignty. Central elements of the procedure: The client awards the contract via a negotiation procedure with a pre-qualification competition. With this announcement, the client invites interested companies to submit a participation application. Only the requirements of this announcement are decisive for the participation application. Based on the submitted participation application, the client assesses the suitability of the applicants for the contract based on the documents to be submitted according to the announcement. In the second step, the client invites the selected applicants, in accordance with the announcement, to submit a first offer in the form of an indicative proposal. With the request for submission of offers, the client invites the bidders to submit optimization proposals for the service requirements and the contract. Should this prove useful, the client will negotiate with the bidders regarding the submitted proposals. Further details of the procedure result from the procurement documents.
